Out & About in Northern Wales
Wonderful day out with Mum and Dave in Northern Wales... nice to see locations I've never even seen before!
First of all we wanted to see the Tu Hwnt Ir Bont Tearooms cottage which is in the market town of Llanrwst and the gateway to Snowdonia National Park. This cottage is covered with ivy and in the fall it all turns a stunning red colour... looks like this photo....

This is what the cottage looks like at present... still pretty even though the Autumn colours have gone.

Then onwards to Conwy Castle for a looksie...

The house measures 72 inches across, 122 inches high and 120 inches deep!! It squeezes in a bedroom upstairs and a living area with basic cooking facilities. A life size dolls house.. not sure I'd want to live in it though!!!
We even noticed when travelling around that a lot of the Great British red telephone boxes have been turned into Defibrillator homes!!! Great idea!!!
Loved the markings on this bird...
Beautiful scenery too when travelling through Wales...
lovely wander down the pier...

We also spotted a huge windfarm out to sea... Gwynt y Môr - (English: Sea Wind) is a 576-megawatt (MW) offshore wind farm located off the coast of North Wales and is the second largest operating offshore windfarm in the world. The farm has 160 wind turbines of 150 metres (490 ft) tip height above mean sea level.
Then on the way out the Great Orme Tramway went whizzing by...
All up a great day out with my lovely Mum and hubby.
