Good morning New York.... what do you have in store for us today?
Again another early rise.... and again the morning is miserable, misty, wet and extremely humid!! Oh well, not much we can do about this.
First stop breakfast... this time at
Le Pain Quotidien, Bryant Park.... wow this place was sensationally healthy :-) soooo goooood!!! Set us up for the rest of the day.
Now for a trip up the Empire State Building, so excited!!!! But then suddenly deflated as we couldn't see a darn thing!!! Except all the beautiful decor inside. Oh well, at least we can say we have now been up it!!

| great pic Dave!! |
Now to tackle the subway!! Wow very hot and steamy down there!!! Took us a little while to understand the system but we got there :-) At least to the station near the
9/11 memorial...
A very sombre visit for sure... also I couldn't comprehend that the museum is right underneath the memorial... tears didn't stop rolling down my face while walking around the museum and the memorial!! God Bless All xxx
These two steel columns are known as the 'The Tridents'. They are 80-foot tall and once formed part of the exterior facade of the North Tower. Called "trees" by World Trade Centre architect Minoru Yamasaki, 84 trident columns formed the perimeter structure of the first five stories of each of the Twin Towers.

The new Freedom Tower or otherwise known as the One World Trade Centre towering over the new very dramatic Westfield complex... quite a spectacular structure... almost church like inside!!
Now to clear our heads after such a sad few hours we enjoyed a walk to and over the Brooklyn Bridge...
Shame the weather wasn't clearer and drier.... Now onto Times Square
TKTS to see if we can get tickets to a Broadway Show :-) .... YES!!! We got great tickets to
Miss Saigon... very excited!!! Back to hotel to freshen up, a bite to eat and off to enjoy the show...
On the way we came across our favourite Australian
Gillie and Marc sculptures...
Loved the Art Deco style inside the Broadway Theatre... even the carpet!! The ceiling dome and chandelier... wow!!
A very passionate emotional performance a must see if you get a chance... don't forget your tissues!!!
